Gayla DeShun Simpson
Event Coordinator, Pastoral Aide, Minister
Gayla DeShun Simpson was born in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Flecther Johnson Jr. and Rita Faye Johnson. She is the seventh child of eight children. She received the Lord Jesus in her life when she was just twelve years old.
She later attended Lighthouse Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Calloway. She left the Lord in her late teen years and return back to Him in 1992. She went on to serve in the ministry of New Life Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Burch. She served on the Usher Board and song in the Choir. She attended New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Livingston. There she served on the Usher Board. She was the Pastoral Aide assist, the church secretary, the Choir Director, and the Announcement Clerk for a few years.
She left there to serve under the leadership of Bishop T.D. and Serita Jakes of the Potter's House. There she served as a volunteer in the bookstore. She also served as a Greeter of the Tribe of Dan which was founded by Lady Serita Jakes. While serving at the Potter's House, she met and married Ricardo G. Simpson while working at the V.A Medical Center in Dallas. They have been married for eighteen years. They have four children with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Upon leaving the Potter's House, God spoke to her and her husband to serve under the leadership of Apostle Wendell and Prophetess Linda Kinney of Chosen Vessels Ministries International. She is currently serving in the ministry as an Event Coordinator, a Pastoral Aide, an assist Announcement Clerk, The Assist Director of the Deep Women of God Table Talk, the Director over the Greeters department and the overseer of the Benevolence department. She received her Minister license in October 2017. She is so grateful and honored to serve in such an awesome ministry.
